Morehouse College Alumni Chapter of Omega Men (MCACOM)

VISION:

MCACOM will foster, advance, and support the interests of its members through Fellowship, Fundraising, and Advocacy.

MISSION:

Educational Scholarships

Over the years, rising tuition is often the primary reason that many individuals are unable to pursue and/or complete Degreed Programs at Institutions of Higher Learning. This is particularly challenging for students who come from Low- or Middle-Income Households. MCACOM was organized to provide scholarships to students. These scholarships will mitigate the need for students to apply for costly loans. Funding for scholarships will be obtained through supporting memberships and grants along with individual/corporate sponsorships and donations.

Community-Based Educational Programs

The learning of new skills and development of healthy habits can be an intimidating process for those who are not in school. As a result, they are not able to navigate the complex social and financial interactions needed for a productive and successful life. For some individuals, particularly those from low- or middle-income households, starting and continuing such programs can be daunting task due to cost. As such, these individuals may not have the opportunity to learn such skills and habits. This can lead to a lack of development in academic, social, and life skills. MCACOM will provide educational programs on a variety of life skills topics to youths and adults in the greater area of Atlanta, Georgia. By providing these educational programs, MCACOM will help youths and adults throughout the area to unlock their full potential thus increasing their chances for success and the uplifting of the community.
